May 2024 will mark the eighty-fifth anniversary of the world ’s most pop superhero , Batman . Superman may have debut a year earlier , but writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane beguile lighting in a bottle with their very first Batman taradiddle inDetective Comics No . 27 in 1939 . Since then , there have been more movie , TV shows , animated series , picture games and comics starring Batman than there have been for any other comic book character .
In honor of the Dark Knight ’s 85th day of remembrance , we ’re taking a look at the 50 good Batman quotes of all time , from the comics to the various medium adaptations that followed . Unlike some other lists , quotes from the Joker , or any other villain , were left out . Everything below was say by either Batman or Bruce Wayne . And that ’s the manner it should be .
