Euclid will be studying dark matterby look for these variety of effects .

“ I find it very challenging that this ring was observed within a well - know galaxy , which was first discovered in 1884 , ” said Valeria Pettorino , Euclid Project Scientist . “ The galaxy has been known to astronomers for a very foresightful prison term . And yet this ring was never mention before . This demo how powerful Euclid is , finding unexampled thing even in home we intend we knew well . This find is very encouraging for the time to come of the Euclid commission and demonstrates its fantastic capabilities . ”
