Since myApple Watch Series 10arrived I’veworn it with Apple ’s Milanese Loop dance band , which is well one of thebest you may grease one’s palms , but when Nomad announced anew glow - in - the - dark Sport Band , I suppose it was clock time for a variety . Turns out , gettingit to beam was a bit of a challenge , and while it search as horrid as you ’d expect , I find I care it for a unlike reason .
Wearing the band
I ’ll come to the glow in the dark mo next , but for me to even retrieve about weary Nomad ’s Sport Band it had to add up at least close-fitting to the Milanese Loop ’s comfort . I ’m very pleased to say it does , and it ’s an interesting alternative to Apple ’s own Sport Band . The fluoroelastemer rubber material is surprisingly thick and therefore feel very durable . I could wear it for any sport or natural action and not vex about it .
It ’s ensure on your wrist using a metal peg - and - hole system , and smartly the hole journey the entire distance of both ends of the ring , ensuring there ’s masses of zephyr flow and plenty of adjustability . You have to pucker the end of the shoulder strap underneath the other , but I ’ve found it gentle to get the right level of tightness . I ’ve certainly never detect it vex blistering or sweaty , and while it ’s a bit chunkier than I personally prefer to weary overnight , I doubt it would make any discomfort . Best of all , it fulfilled my top antecedency for any sentinel band — to be almost obscure on my wrist during the daytime .
This is what has appealed to me more about Nomad ’s Sport Band than the colour or it ’s glow in the dark feature . Apple ’s own Sport Band is likewise excellent , and I also really likeCasetify ’s Impact Bandtoo , which check it for comfort and is really lightweight . Where does Nomad ’s Sport Band go in ? It is likely tough and experience a little more long-lasting than both of them , and is more tough in appearance , give it a style of its own . All of this implement toanyNomad Sport Band which is available in a form of color , but I ’ve been wear the one that glows in the wickedness , so what ’s it like ?

Nomad’s coolest glow yet
This is the thirdglow in the dark Apple Watch bandNomad has secrete , and it ’s in a wonderful Icy bluish color . When it ’s not glowing , the band takes on an almost off - white color with just a hint of coolheaded minty bluing , and it ’s very special indeed . It ’s not in - your - cheek wild blue yonder , even when glowing , and it goes with most kit because of it . The Nomad Sport Band is n’t dressy like the Milanese Loop , and is more rugged seem than Apple ’s or Casetify ’s alternative , piss it the most casual of these three excellent bands .
The radiance in the grim part isreallyfun , but it has take up some crusade and patience for it to exercise for me . The band needs to see enough light to “ charge up ” the photoluminescence up . It ’s wintertime in the U.K. , where I hold out , at the moment and sunlight is n’t very common . Because it ’s cold , my wrists are almost always overlay in several level of clothing , meaning my Apple Watch gets shroud away most of the fourth dimension .
To give the Nomad Sport Band a fight chance I leave if on the windowsill all daytime , and I ultimately got to see it shine after night fell . It looks splendid . Not too shiny , but bright enough that everyone would notice it on your wrist . It ’s a uniform glow , with no hotspots or dull patches , and the Icy juicy tint gives it a sci - fi , Tron - like appearance that I adore . The former lime green version was n’t to my taste , but this one is perfect . It ’s not a ring for someone who does n’t want attention though , as peoplewillnotice it .

It took a while , and some effort , to give the Nomad Sport Band enough sun to charge it up , but once the Watch was back on my wrist and hidden off , the radiance sadly before long faded . avowedly it ’s not getting a full day ’s sunlight at the second ( not even faithful ) and it is still very new , so the length of time it shine for may change accordingly when stipulation neuter . Oh , the joy of wintertime time in the U.K. , but the glow in the dark Nomad Sport Band really managed to clear things up .
Worth buying?
At the metre of write some reading of the limited edition Icy Blue gleaming in the morose Sport Band are still available on Nomad ’s web site , and leave how the previous limited versions have entirely sold out , I ’d say if you want one it ’d be good to get one soon . It ’s well worth it too . It ’s more than just a merriment radiate watch banding due to Nomad ’s attention to item from ensuring the glow is consistent across the integral dance band , to not letting any additional treatment necessary affect the band ’s usual eminent layer of ease .
Nomad ’s not charging any more for the limited version glow in the morose Apple Watch band either , andit ’s yours for $ 60 . Sadly the small 41mm/42 mm version have sold out at Nomad , but you’re able to still purchase the 46mm/49 mm version which fits grown Apple Watch models and theApple Watch Ultra 2 . Nomad ’s glowing Icy Blue Sport Band is going to enter my even rotation of Apple Watch bands , but I cerebrate I ’ll economize it for the summer months when both it and I have a better chance of seeing some Sunday .
