In the early day of the iPhone , one of the most popular accessary was the Mophie Juice Pack battery font . This was one of the first and original battery case for theiPhonethat would extend the battery life of your phone to help you get through the day . It was essential when traveling , as you ’d likely go through your iPhone ’s bombardment much faster and might not be near an sales outlet .
The Mophie Juice Pack became a staple for many multitude and spawned numerous copycat , but once Apple introducedMagSafewith the iPhone 12 communication channel , it seemed like the need for barrage fire character fritter away . In fact , it has been a few year since Mophie last released a Juice Pack case for the iPhone . But the Mophie Juice Pack has finally return , and it ’s presently available for theiPhone 15,iPhone 15 Pro , andiPhone 15 Pro Max .

The return of a classic
As someone who has hadevery genesis of the iPhone , the Mophie Juice Pack has always been one of my favorite add-on . It was especially handy when I travel or was forth from home for an extended geological period of metre .
But in 2015 , Apple released it ’s own Smart Battery Case , which I wish for its bright integration with iOS and the addition of the shutter button . Though the bump was not liked by many , I put up with it for the other conveniences .
Then Apple got disembarrass of that once it introduced MagSafe and launched the MagSafe Battery Pack . This start a unexampled era of accouterment in the form of stamp battery packs that were attached via MagSafe . As convenient as those are , sometimes it ’s a little awkward when using your headphone while it ’s charging , peculiarly if the battery pack is a little thicker .

That ’s why I like having a battery display case . The Mophie Juice Packs were pretty slim for their size , and they added some security to your gimmick , which battery packs do n’t .
For theiPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Proversions , Mophie put a 2,400mAh battery inside the Juice Pack . On the iPhone 15 Pro Max edition of the Juice Pack , you get a 3,000mAh battery . The Juice Pack wo n’t give you a full commission , but it will provide around a 50 % charge for your gimmick .
So , how of the essence is the Mophie Juice Pack these years ? I make one for my iPhone 15 Pro and found out .

A good design, plenty of battery, and more
The Mophie Juice Pack come as two firearm that slide in and snap together . You slither your iPhone 15 into the bottom one-half , which is basically two - third of the case , and then snap in the top part , which has the camera cutout .
Inside the Mophie Juice Pack is a USB - speed of light connector that plugs into your iPhone 15 once it ’s instal . On the bottom of the type is a USB - C port to burden . The Juice Pack uses passthrough priority charging , so when you stop up it in , the iPhone will charge first , then the case will file .
Since this is a shelling case , there ’s a slender protrusion on the back to domiciliate the battery , and it does add a tenuous bit of weight to your speech sound . But it is comparatively slim and offer up to six - foot drop protection .
The guinea pig itself is made with up to 50 % recycled plastic and has a nice easy - touch matte finish that feel comfortable in the hand . The button cover are prissy and tactile , and , yes , there is a screening on the Action button rather than just a cutout .
Four light-emitting diode condition lights and a button are located on the bottom backside of the Juice Pack . The lights point the charge status and battery level . One press of the button learn the battery degree , and you need to contract and moderate it for a few seconds to start the charging . This is good because you choose when to use the barrage fire case ’s force rather than it starting automatically once it ’s installed .
I used the Mophie Juice Pack when my iPhone 15 Pro was down to 35 % battery . In two 60 minutes , it proceed up to 70 % while I was still heavily using the phone . It ’s not the fastest boot , nor will it take you from zero to 100 % , but it definitely helps to exsert your battery life sentence while you ’re out and about .
It ’s important to note that the Juice Pack does not have MagSafe integration . So if you expend some MagSafe accessories , like PopSockets or car mounts , these wo n’t work if you have the Juice Pack on .
And while I do like the soft touch matte finish , it is prone to getting blur easy and show fingerprint . It ’s easy enough to wipe off every now and then , but you ’ve been discourage .
Still a worthy iPhone accessory
The Mophie Juice Pack wo n’t be my daily case , but it will be ready to hand for when I ’m out for most of the day or traveling . It extend solid protection while also have extra shelling business leader if I demand it , and that ’s a convenient jazz group .
I do n’t think that we ’ll be retrovert to the days when almost everyone on a planer had a Mophie Juice Pack on their telephone set . That ’s because there are so many other alternatives now for roving power , likebattery pack with integrate cablesthat can fast charge or even MagSafe battery pack .
But the Mophie Juice Pack is a dear alternative if you require some protective cover and merged power in one package . Plus , it ’s just great to see it return after several twelvemonth of absence seizure .
