We always found some point of connection with our player fictional character in game , but it is usually the villain who gets the most time in the spotlight . In many series , it is the villain who stay the constant while the hero change , building up a rivalry that extends beyond the game itself . What make water a unspoiled baddie can be a wad of things . They can be especiallyhard hirer fights , have sympathetic goals and need , or are just so comically iniquity that we just love to see them on screen . We ’ve been spoil some villains since theNES multiplication , while others are more modern . No doubt we will find even more fantastic villains inupcoming TV games , but for now , this is our ranking of the good video secret plan villain of all clock time .
7. Dr. Wily
Dr. Wily deserves a place on this tilt for being one of the first recurring villain onthe NES . EachMega Mangame featured a unique mold of robot masters to fight , but the same mad scientist was always behind them going rapscallion . In the last , we always bested his robots , stormed his palace , and captured him ( except for that one time when Mega Man was feed up with it all and seek to off him ) . It was always Earth domination with Wily , and only because his cooperator get all the glory for their employment in robotics . Neither his motivation or goals deepen much from game to plot , but fighting him at the ending was always a kickshaw with all the powers you ’d coallected .
6. Bowser
Okay , tranquilize down everyone . Yes , Bowser is only number 6 on the list , but we have to be honest with ourselves here . How good of a scoundrel is Bowser , really ? He ’s iconic , no doubt , but he ’s just a sketch scoundrel at the end of the day . He either wants to kidnap Peach , take over the Kingdom , or just get free of Mario with uncommon exceptions . The only secret plan to give him some depth wasSuper Mario RPG , but he was n’t even the villain in that game . Bowser is fun to struggle and is so well - constitute that we do n’t need to see him go away forever , but at this point , he ’s basically Mario ’s Quaker most of the time .
5. Ganon/Ganondorf
Meanwhile , Ganon is never friendly or rummy even in the slightest . This is arguably Nintendo ’s strongest long - running baddie who only seems to get better with every game he ’s in . Ganon began as just a eldritch pig - monster not all that unlike from Bowser in the rarified scheme of thing , but has evolve in awing way across theZeldagames . Ganondorf was a menacing figure who win in plough Hyrule into a barren , but there are plenty of other instance where Ganon has essentially won and all you could do is try and save what ’s left . Ganon still gets just shaving of screentime , but they ’re used to convey his tycoon and instill concern and intimidation . Mechanically , facing off with Ganon in his various forms is always the highlight of the game .
4. Vaas
All it took was one poke for sports fan to become fully invested in Vaas . That individual line of business that bookended the trailer of “ did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is ? ” showcased just how dangerous and unstable this guy is . But a baddie being fully insane is n’t good . Like the Joker , Vaas is harebrained but has his own moral code . The trouble is that computer code is impossible to trace so we can never be sure how he will oppose to anything . We just care Vaas was the actual villain ofFar Cry 3and the game had n’t dragged on after his final confrontation .
3. Albert Wesker
Even before we experience he was a traitor , there was something about Wesker ’s brass that made us require to punch it . Those sunglasses , slick down - back hair’s-breadth , and smug attitude almost gave away his evil side . As the main antagonist of theResident Evilseries up until 5 , Wesker was a physical and intellectual force that no one eccentric could overcome . He had grand plans to pull the string on a globular scale with various computer virus and weaved a massive web of confederacy that was meet to unravel . It is n’t often that you get to really fight Wesker , and there is the rediculous bowlder punching here and now right at the end , but shoot him with RPGs in a vent was very cathartic .
2. Sephiroth
There are some differences between the OGFinal Fantasy 7and thenew remakesin terms of how Sephiroth is limn , but that obtain kind of complicated with those technically being subsequence , so we ’re just going to compact it all together . Competition was still high for pick aFinal Fantasyvillain , but there ’s a grounds Sephiroth is the one everyone commend . What made him so terrifying in the first game was how long it took to actuallyseehim . For the first several hours you only hear his name and see his way of devastation . His pattern is just as imposing as the buildup lead you to believe , and you get to see what pushed him over the edge into villainy . Like the best baddie , Sephiroth believe he is doing the right-hand affair .
1. Senator Armstrong
Metal Gearand Kojima game have been predicting the future for tenner , but it might never be more on the olfactory organ thanMetal Gear Rising’sSenator Armstrong . This crooked politico speaks just like one in the actual world , spouting about how the strong should be costless to do as they please and that “ they ’ll make America keen again . ” He fights for a philosophy of might cook right and is a ferocious patriot who want to spark a new rotation . That ’s chilling enough , but it only becomes more terrific in hindsight as this video game scoundrel ’s evil plan seems to be derive to aliveness in good order before our optic . At least in the game you get an awesome fighting with a macabre soundtrack .
